Strength and Power Productions originally got its start in Southern California in 1987. Company president, Charles LaMantia came to La Mirada, CA from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he had completed his degree in Speech and Language Pathology and while in college served as his fraternity’s dee jay for Phi Sigma Fraternity in Clarion Pennsylvania which hosted private parties monthly in their off campus bar.
Originally Strength and Power Productions was aligned with highly visible sports events at Muscle Beach Venice and with R. G. Canning Productions (Pasadena Rose Bowl), which held exotic car shows all around the Southern California area.
After attending continuing education classes at Cerritos College for production and wedding planning, Charles ventured into the wedding market with Andrew Lombardo of Digital Disc Jockeys. Andrew was a phenomenal teacher and founding member of the Southern California Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association. After several very successful years together the team parted to pursue different objectives.
Strength and Power Productions is presently a family oriented business. Catherine LaMantia (25) who graduated the Cordon Bleu in Pasadena with a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management works behind the scenes helping in many varied ways and on occasion assisting at high level athletic events in the Los Angeles and Anaheim Convention Centers. Charlie LaMantia (21) attended dubspot in Los Angeles, California learning Ableton, learning to create, record and produce music.

Chuck has been coming to the Calvary Cross Preschool and Daycare Center to engage the children at the Country Fair Day for many, many years. I'm impressed that he has the ability to come with a variety of activities for the children to engage in as well as play appropriate, child oriented music. Chuck really understands how to engage his audience, both the adults and children.

I want to thank you for the great care and planning you put into my son’s party. It was no easy feat designing a party that would give recognition to: his high school graduation, acceptance into the Navy, and to celebrate his rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts. The way you used your up lights to make sections of red, white and blue was wonderful. The slide that was projected all the way across the hall featuring the Boy Scout Emblem with moving fireworks was completely unexpected and talked about by all the guests. I loved the way you designed a little game for those party goers in attendance to learn a little more about Mark and his interests. You even encouraged the guests to write letters to Mark while he was away in Virginia.

We weren’t thinking about getting a dee jay and host because of the expense, but we are very glad that we did. You organized everything so well for us. The lights you placed all around the backyard made everything look very elegant! The mix of music was perfect too! If you need us to put in a good word for you, we certainly will.

I want to thank you for making my birthday party so much fun. When you came earlier in the day to set up, I was impressed how nice looking everything was. After you set up the lights I was hoping it would get dark quick so I could see how much cooler the lights would make it. The music and the lights were nice. Thanks again!
